BD Party

I'm sorry for your luck.
You might not have a sister like mine who can make these...
I feel really bad.  But you can't have her.
She's all mine.
(cakes aside)

We had a great birthday party!

That's the cake baker.
Lovely guests...

Thanks for celebrating with our sweet girlies!

Girls visit!

We had a great time with my college girlies in for a visit.  Five girls, five marriages, a few step kiddos and we end up with this:

That's right 15 kids, with 3 missing...(well really 2 missing and one baby boy in utero )

We were actually all together this year.  It's hard to have all 5 girls, let alone, all 5 husbands...

Our "big" kids are getting too big if you ask me!

Funny Christmas Moments 2015

Our blog is always a mix of things we think you'll find interesting and things we want to chronicle so we don't forget.  Sometimes I print out a blog post months later for a scrapbook...this is one of those occasions...definitely don't want to forget this:

We decided to take a quick divergence from the normal Christmas photos to bring you a few of our funniest moments we don't want to forget...In no particular order...
Three words:
Musical Christmas Tie
Sam got Mike this special tie for which there no words.  Mike says it's the greatest gift he's ever or will ever receive.  I almost peed my pants when after he tied it on and we realized it was musical.
After receiving a very useful toothbrush in his stocking, Sam replied...

"Nice joke Mom."

During a small sidebar in which Mike instructed that Sam must look at all the articles of clothing gifted to him, Sam quickly chucked each one aside with a small comment like "good" or "great" or "wonderful pajamas."  At the end, he mentioned, "on to the real gifts..."
Olivia had one major meltdown because she was convinced the one of the two IDENTICAL flashlights Santa brought was clearly hers and not Eliza's as we were opening them from the packages.
She also spent a fair amount of Christmas morning texting and calling Aunt Michelle from her toy cell phone.
Addie woke up at 4:30am and read until 6am.  She and I killed time downstairs until 7am.  Then we woke everyone up. She may have needed a nap by 5pm.

Christmas at Nana's

Papa and Nana always host us on Christmas Day.  For us it's a fun morning followed by a big exhale and an appreciation of the fun Christmas moments we've had this year.  Here are a few of the highlights...

Puppy and Kitty surprise!

Ellie had to try on her new clothes

It's our stupid Christmas pic!  It was so warm we decided to hop in the pool.  (almost)
