Christmas Eve Brunch!

We've had several different configurations of Christmas celebrations over the years depending on the plans of all the families!  This year Phil and Emily hosted a lovely brunch for us on Christmas Eve so we could celebrate with Kelly and Grammy.  We had so much fun!

Mr. Larry got Mike and Phil exactly what they wanted for Christmas!  Beachbody snuggies!
Yay!  Isn't that what you wanted too?
Addie scored one of her favorite gifts...her American Girl kitchen with no less than 13546859 small pieces.
She was really excited!
Thanks Grammy, Emily and Phil for a great morning!

Christmas! with Grandpa Rob

As always, Grandpa Rob has a lovely and super-delicious holiday celebration for us every year.  It often is the "first" of the holiday parties and Sam remembered a few hours before the party that this one "wasn't the grilling out cheeseburger party, it was the one with presents!"
Hailey, Uncle Ryan and Sam

Mary and Eliza

Standard Christmas wrestling with Uncle Ryan

Christina's favorite uncle pastime...pile rocks on Uncle Mike...

The traditional Grandpa Rob pictures!

The girls got matching princess Elena dresses and musical light up scepters.  Pretty sure their holiday was made already...

Thanks for a terrific evening Grandpa Rob!

Star Wars!

Of course we would forgo a romantic date night to, instead, take our two bigs to the new Star Wars movie.  I'm pretty sure they were just as stoked as Daddy. :)

Gingerbread Houses....

Let's face it...we may have no future architects in the family...but they look perfectly delicious if you're 7 or 4.

The Big Show...

Preschool shows involving singing are the best ever...I mean, really, there are no words.  Enjoy every second...

Thanksgiving

Mike and I hosted Thanksgiving in between a flurry of home repairs trying to fix the major mess caused by a bathtub leak on our top floor.  Long story short...everything was fixed but it was not.so.fun.
Nonetheless, everything timed out perfectly to have these turkeys and our family enjoy a great Thanksgiving!

Mmmm...apple pie...I can still taste it.

Sam was wondering if he should close his eyes because he was "a dead turkey."

We roast and fry two turkeys.  It's very legitimate.

This guy celebrated his first Thanksgiving.  Don't worry, Peter, next year we'll sneak you pumpkin pie!

Preschool Parade & Halloween?

Somehow my Halloween posts never made it to the blog...
So, here in the middle of December, for posterity...
are some of these gems...

These little ladies had their Halloween show

Our very cutest flapper ever...
I repeat...TJMaxx has the coolest costumes ever for girls Addie's age...
Liv really wanted to be an angel with "a dress all the way down to the floor" which I might have had to buy a too-big size and then cut down, but it worked!

I LOVE that Eliza chose to be Merida from Brave this year because it really does describe her right now.  She is fearless.

Sam is currently obsessed with all thing Ghostbusters.  Mike altered his "proton pack" to include some sound effects.  It involved wires and electrical tape and all sorts of "boy fun."

Daddy making good on that Jedi costume he bought for Addie's last BD party.

Girl pic!
Liv said she was "done" trick-or-treating and was happy to hang out with Nana cuddling while we took one more block on with the other 3.

Papa and Nana were our expert treat distributors so we could man the troops.  My favorite quote was from Eliza that night....
"This is the best night of my life!!!!"
