Kelly's Shower

I have been very busy getting ready for a special girl's wedding!
Woohoo!
We began the celebrations with a lovely bridal shower with a fun "rain & shower theme!"
so cute, isn't it?

Mike and I made these fun centerpieces...my Mom found the watering cans and Mike helped me design the "rain"....they were my favorite detail!

Here's the beautiful Bride and Groom to be!
Kelly & Ryan

So you might not know that Kelly will become a Mama and wife all in the same day.
Those are her soon to be daughters: Mary, Nikki, & Hailey with Ryan's Grandma & Mom.

Loved showering these sweeties!

Gymnastics!

Over spring break we checked out Open Gym and let the girls have the try at some gymnastics!
Pretty sure the rings were their fave...

The girls are already asking when they can go again!
So fun!

Sam's Friend Party

Sam had his first FRIEND party this weekend.  We invited all the boys in his kindergarten class to a party at our local Jumpyard.  The kiddos had a great time.  I loved watching and comparing the differences in boy and girl parties.  The boys just literally ran around in packs until one trailed off and then he played until he met up with someone else.  There was no drama, there was no "she's playing with so and so and I wanted to play with her..."

They just played.  It was really cute.
And easy.
Getting traditional smiley pictures...
not so easy....

Ninja Hijinx continues...

If there's anything a six year old ninja needs at his party, it's weapons and headbands...
Our sweet guests even played along for picture time...
Check out Larry's ice cream scopes and Al's cane...

One of my fave pics...

Jillian couldn't be more thrilled with the nun chucks...

Thanks for celebrating with our little ninja!

Ninja Hijinx

Truth be told, I love birthday parties.
I love that themed parties are all the rage with my generation and, despite being in love with all things girly and princess, I LOVE a boy party.
Pirate party? check.
Space party? check.
Ninja party?
Naturally.
Happy birthday to my super sweet, always and forever only son...

As always, the talented and loving sister of mine made some sweet Ninja cupcakes that Sam adored.

If you know Sam...then you KNOW how hard it is to capture his excitement while opening gifts.
Well done photographer Aunt Shell...
