Eliza Giggles!

We've had a very busy weekend with Sam's birthday and a visit from my college girlfriends.  More about that later...but until then, here's a little something we had to share.  A first for our girlies.  Miss Eliza giggles!

Twins' Dedication

We dedicated Olivia and Eliza to the Lord on Sunday!  We've dedicated all of our kiddos, saving their baptism until they're a bit older, at my parents' church.  We've been totally blessed to have Rev. Knife, who married Mike and I, able and willing to dedicate Addie, Sam, and now the girls!  He did an anointing with oil, which he's done before, as a sign of blessing and promise on the girls, but this time, all of our family and friends in attendance got to join in and add their blessings for the girls.  It was perfect, and exactly what I wanted in a dedication.  We had everyone back to the house for the lunch and the weather was gorgeous.  We're so thankful and full of gratitude to the Lord for the girls' safe arrival and for all of the family and friends that "prayed us through" this season of our lives.

I'm also totally in love with how adorable my girls looked in their dresses made by my Mom.  Aren't they gorgeous?  I remember telling my mom, when we announced our "third" pregnancy, that she was "set" because we had a girl and a boy Christening outfit.  Alas, she graciously agreed to make one more dress.  Olivia wore the new dress, which will travel down my sister's family line and Eliza wore the dress that Addie and my niece Mikayla wore!  So cute!  Thanks so much Mom!

Roommates

My college roommates sent me this bottle of wine in anticipation of the twins. They are hi.lar.i.ous.

Easter miracles...

I know, crazy right, my blogging has finally slowed down.  I guess those kiddos are catching up to me.  Anywho...I do have a few updates.  I'm madly prepping for the girls' baby dedication on Sunday.  Things are slowly getting ready and we're super excited.  I've had some nursing troubles and after a visit to the doctor today, hopefully things are back on track.  We have had a few Easter miracles.  I got a new stellar set of couches for our family room to replace our peeling leather couches (woohoo).  Thanks to my darling husband for letting me pick it out!  :)  Okay...so that's clearly not an Easter miracle.  But we also can celebrate those darling twinsies finally sleeping!  Woohoo!  We've gone from like 3-4 hour blocks to 7 or 8 hour blocks (praise the Lord!)  That feels like a miracle.

Of course, the real miracle of Easter is the resurrection which we gratefully celebrated last Sunday.  (And yes, I got all four kids ready for church  because Mike helped out at the first service!  aha!)  Our kiddos are *getting* the story of Easter a bit more this year.  Sam can tell you that "Jesus died on da ca-woss."  That's about it.  Addie can tell you most of the story.  When she and Mike we're discusisng Easter last week, Mike was (trying) to explain how Jesus was the son of God.  To which Addie replied,
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
Ahahah...you and all other theologians out there Addie.
We also sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus on Easter morning too.  I'm not really sure why, but the kids broke into it and I felt like, in some small way, that was perfectly fitting.
Hope you had a great Easter weekend too!

Mental note

Be sure to buy sister's kid large sugar bomb bunny each year for Easter. And maybe other holidays as well.

You never know what you'll find at the bottom of your coffee mug with preschoolers around.

Jack at 2:45

Jack and I are both pissed at 2:45 AM!  Jack uses  a paw over his face, I use a pillow.

the ladies...

I know you're dying to know two things... 1. Did I get my taco yet? Yes I did. It was good. Not life changing or the "best thing I ever ate," but not gross either. I'd recommend one if you love Doritos and don't mind creepy taco bell meat once a year. (Thanks to Steve and his total approval via Bloggy-comments) 2. Where are some new pics of the girls? Your wish is granted...
