Rocket Science...

I figured these shots would keep Daddy smiling.

Play time...

Some shots from our recent trips to the Children's Museum and the Memphis Kiddie Park. Sam wasn't quite sure about the rides at first. He watched Addie go on about 1.5 rides and realized he was missing all the fun. He squirmed right out his stroller and went to my Mom for his ticket and the rest is history...

Why not?

Why not throw water all over your head? Silly boy.

Sammy 0, Cake 1

So last night was the official battle royale between Mom and Dad and Sammy. We were having dinner and Sam was eating NOTHING of course. After some bread and a pea or 3, it was time for the rest of us to have dessert. We told Sam he had to try one noodle before he could get his cake. Just one lonely noodle. Poor stubborn buddy wouldn't do it. Even after a comprise carrot, nothing. So alas, the cake remains on the counter. Maybe tonight will be Sammy's night.

Pirate Ketchup

I recently got new "Poison Control" magnets. It's a little square that tells you the number for poison control in case your child drinks Windex or something horrible. I have two magnets...one in the kitchen and one in the den. Addie is casually singing a song this morning about pirate ketchup and I cracked up because she was referring to the magnet...which surprisingly does look like Pirate Ketchup:

Going to the Zoo, zoo, zoo...

So we went to the zoo on Saturday. It was our first look at the new elephant exhibit at the Cleveland Zoo. We really like their new home. You get a nice close-up look at the elephants...they cross through the exhibit twice a day. There are meerkats, a python, naked mole rats, a stellar African bird collection and more. Definitely a zoo improvement. :)

Few things can top, as a dancer-mama myself, watching my daughter get ready for her first recital. It was so exciting for her (and me!). She danced with her Princess Ballet class to the song "Little Powder Puff." Luckily, she didn't succumb to stage fright, the preschooler frozen gaze at the lights, or the "waste the whole dance waving to your family."

It is clearly on my Top 10 Mommy list so far...

The desks are emptied. School is done. Summer is here.
Let the blogging begin.
